Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a committed, flexible and highly organised Admin Clerk to the Governing Body reporting to the Head of Governance and Company Secretary at Rainham Mark Education Trust. This role is for 304 hours per year (equating to approximately 8 hours per week) which will include 36 face to face meetings per year - all based within the Rainham area. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and keen to deliver the highest standards of Multi Academy Trust Governance, be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who possesses strong organisational skills and has the ability to work under pressure to support the team during meetings. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who wishes to pursue a career within Governance and administration, whilst taking the advantage of the option to work flexibly with this annualised contract., + Attend 36 face-to-face board and committee meetings per academic year (34 meetings are between 5pm and 8pm)
+ Produce accurate minutes of meetings and action plans in line with the Terms of Reference for each committee
+ Support the Head of Governance to ensure all agendas and associated papers are uploaded onto the internal governance portal
+ Assist with policy compliance, including updating the policy review schedule and preparing policies for ratification
+ Assist the central services with social media posts and website updates
+ Assist the central services with the strategic marketing plan including the production of marketing material, + Free Health Checks

+ Experience of producing accurate and concise minutes at Board/Committee meetings
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Attention to detail and the ability to write fluently with a high level of accuracy
+ Capacity to work flexible hours and attend 36 face-to-face Board and Committee meetings per academic year
+ Ability to keep accurate records
+ Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
