Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Alliance Manager to join our Partners and Alliances team in Vodafone UK Business. In this role your primary responsibility will be to define and own all strategic and commercial activity in relation to Vodafone UK's hardware and device strategy for the Enterprise Business Unit, owning commercial relationships with key Mobility partners and driving sales performance within the business.,

  • Manage, develop, and govern key strategic partnerships for Vodafone Business within the Mobility portfolio.

  • Working directly with our Device Strategic Partners to grow sales performance and identify new partnership and joint go-to-market opportunities, creating business plans with Sales and Commercial teams, and working with Product and Go-To-Market teams to launch these into the market.

  • Own the Vodafone Business Enterprise division relationship with key device partners - and be responsible for creating and driving their strategy and success.

  • Define and implement Device Strategic Partnership strategies and business plans to identify and drive initiatives through a QBR (Quarterly Business Review) process.

  • Act as the commercial lead for all new product introductions, steering Go-To-Market propositions, messaging and positioning aligned to strategic priorities and commercial objectives.

  • Evaluate, manage and execute commercial programmes alongside Commercial.

  • Support engagement with Device Strategic Partners on large or complex device opportunities.

  • Implement and manage contingency plans to deal with internal/external business challenges that may impact revenue, cost or margin.


  • Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain regular engagement with operational stakeholders to optimise and accelerate Device Portfolio performance

  • Lead and develop relationships for specific engagements with key Device Strategic Partners and vendors, in conjunction with Terminals, SCM and Group

  • Regular updates to management stakeholders on portfolio performance

  • Ongoing engagement with Finance and Commercial teams to track financial performance

  • Marketing and Propositions interlock to ensure alignment to strategic direction

    Confident working across a complex & cross-functional sales organisation with the ability to quickly and effectively build a strong network

  • Experience of leading & influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally; ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and proven track record of managing strategic engagements & expectations.

  • Strong Commercial experience, with the ability to understand and effectively balance Commercial priorities with the needs of the customer.

  • Strong storytelling & narration skills when presenting to senior stakeholders & facilitating regular trading forums with partners.

  • Innovation and creative thinking - having the ability to explore things differently and not being afraid to take risks.

  • Analytically adaptable - being able to make decisions quickly and effectively, yet ensuring these are informed by rich data insights & rationale when required.

  • Experience of building relationships preferably with customers or partners where deliverables for all parties have been delivered

  • Experience of managing sales programmes, on time and in dynamic environments.

  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence

  • Knowledge of the device market and experience working with device partners would be good to have

    Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
    Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
