Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our brand new team at our digital marketing company.

The role is a hybrid of Appointment Setting and Customer Support or Liaison. We are not looking for the usual telemarketer here, we prefer our potential clients to be handled in a way only great customer support people know how.

We are a new marketing agency with founders who each have industry experience of 10-20 plus years. We will be providing services for marketing, web development and business optimisation.

Responsibilities

Contact businesses by telephone, email or social media in order to book appointments for our business development team.

Converse with our potential clients about our services in such a way that they are excited to know more about our products and services. Listen and understand who they are and what their needs are.

Daily Tasks

The job will involve:

  • Using initiative to locate leads and lead data.

  • Cold calling to offer consultancy services and to do a needs assessment for potential clients.

  • Booking client meetings for the CEO to attend.

  • Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements

  • Processing Information. Compiling and categorising or verifying information or data.

  • Maintaining relationships with customers for future sales opportunities

  • Maintaining accurate CRM records - Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted

  • Meeting or exceeding daily and monthly targets

  • Communicating with Supervisors and Peers. Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

    Listening Skills - Ability to really listen and pick up on subtle clues when conversing with customers.

  • Questioning Skills - Able to ask the right questions to elicit information that can be used to present service offerings, leading to an appointment made.

  • Verbal Communication - Talking to others to convey information effectively. Equivalent to an English speaking native.

  • Sales skills - Whilst not a sales representative, use persuasive language, handle objections, and sell sales appointments.

  • Problem Solving - Finding solutions to problems for potential customers, that leads to an appointment made.

  • Time Management - Managing and organising one's own time to meet targets.

  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, to make improvements or take corrective action.

  • Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do, to tailor sales pitches to different customer types.

  • Computer literate - Experience using CRM systems, data entry and online resources

  • Customer Awareness - Ensure each prospective client and potential customer has a positive experience with our company

  • Relationship building - Has the ability to 'converse' with customers and build relationships using a natural approach.

  • Product Knowledge - Ideally already understand the Digital Marketing Industry or is able to learn a new Industry quickly.

  • Ability to handle rejection - The ability to handle rejection and continue making calls without becoming discouraged.

  • Adaptability - Adapting to different industries, products, or services

  • Emotional Maturity - Staying calm and composed under pressure to maintain a positive attitude and inspire confidence in potential customers.


  • Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a role where appointments were set.

  • Minimum of 4 years in a customer support role.

  • Startups experience a distinct advantage.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Digital Marketing is advantage but not essential

  • Experience with AI services like ChatGPT is an advantage


  • Knowledge
