Full Job Description

  • Undertake standard vehicle/equipment inspections, services and repairs of the company's vehicle transporters.

  • Preparation for MOT/DVSA test

  • Ensuring workload is prioritized and deadlines met.

  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.

  • Accurate timely completion of job cards and timesheets.

  • Comply with Health & Safety policy and guidance documents.

    Proven mechanical skills would be an advantage.

  • Previous experience of working within a workshop environment would be an advantage, but not essential.

  • Full-time hours (08:30am to 17:00pm), Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week, with a view to moving onto the workshop shift pattern.

  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and take on new responsibilities.

  • Must take care and pride in their work.

    We are a car transportation company based near Carlisle Airport with a fleet of 530 car transporters who are part of the Constellation Automotive Group of Companies, including other companies such as We Buy Any Car.com, Cinch and British Car Auctions.


    • We are looking for an Apprentice HGV Technician to join our busy team in our purpose-built workshop at Carlisle. Salary will depend upon experience and the job will involve day release to College.
