Working as an Approved Mental Health Professional is both challenging and rewarding and we are committed under supportive leadership and regular supervision to promoting your future development and interests in this complex field.

To join us here at South Tyneside, you will be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional with an appropriate qualification in an approved field such as Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy etc, and be a registered professional. With extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act and high practice standards, this is the perfect opportunity for those looking to concentrate upon and further develop their AMHP skills and knowledge.

Working alongside mental health partners and supporting people through crisis, you will be assigned to our brand new dedicated AMHP Team created to deliver an effective, efficient and high-quality service to the residents of South Tyneside.

To enable AMHP's to build effective relationships with people and their families and carers under a named worker approach, there is no requirement to carry a community caseload. You will be asked to work flexibly to support a work pattern of Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm on a 3-day Rota Basis.
