Full Job Description

Job summary: Offer daily support in all areas to all clubs and work closely with Managers and staff.

Ensure standards and goals are met, in line with the club's policies and procedures.

Act as company lead for Safeguarding, Health and Safety officer, SENCO & Enco.

Line manager: Managing Director & Business Director

Responsible for: Managers, Deputy Managers, Room Leaders, Playworkers and Volunteers

Working relationships: Children attending the club and their parents or carers

Management, staff, students and volunteers

Childcare and play organisations, schools, registering authorities

Main duties include:

Work with clubs to oversee and promote best practice.

Act as Lead Safeguarding Officer for the company.

Manage online software systems.

Develop innovative measures to support efficient running of company .

Be part of the company's mental health first aid team.

Checking that all company documents general paperwork are up to date for each setting.

Providing support and supervision to Managers and deal with any issues that may arise and report to the Company Directors.

Respond to HR situations and assist the management team with grievance and disciplinary procedures.

Oversee and promote the CPD of all company.

Support the management team with supervisions.

Perform managerial supervisions.

Attend weekly meetings with the Company Directors.

Contribute towards regular Managers meetings.

Work in partnership with parents and other professionals

Develop and maintain good communication and relationships with all members of the club and schools.

Assist in preparation and delivery of in-house training.

Guide others in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

Ensure practice and policy is in line with current legislation.

Support in clubs where necessary for safeguarding.

Represent the Company on official matters in the absence of the Managing Director.

Attend and represent the company at CPD events.

Liaise and network with potential stakeholders.

Manage complaints procedures.

Oversee SEND provision across the company including meeting with parents/carers/professionals to discuss behaviour and SEND needs.

Support with Ofsted inspections.

Oversee the planning and coordination of holiday clubs and support sessions.

Undertaking appropriate and relevant training as required.

Carry out any other duties as required.

Fun 4 Kids are seeking an experienced and dedicated Area Development Manager to oversee multiple childcare facilities in our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and playwork, possessing strong leadership skills to effectively manage and support our breakfast, after school and holiday clubs.

The successful candidate should hold no less than a Level 3 childcare qualification and experience of working with children that cover the EYFS criteria.

You would act as company SENCO so appropriate experience or training is necessary.

The opening hours of our clubs are 7am and 9am and 2.30pm and 6pm. You will on occasions be expected to work breakfast club and be available to support in after school and holiday clubs. With additional paperwork hours this will bring total working hours to 30 per week. This will be an all-year-round contract as you will be required to support in the company's holiday club.

You will be required to work in various settings of the company so will need a full driving license and access to a vehicle., · Experience of administration

· Experience of working in a supervisory or management capacity

· Understanding the varied needs of children and families

· Appropriate Level 3 Childcare Qualification or above

· Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate leadership skills

· Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

    · Vast knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

    · Current driving licence and own car

    · At least 2 years experience of working in a childcare setting

    · Have good organisational skills

    · Have the ability to problem solve and think on your feet

    Desirable qualities

    · Experience of working within a play-based setting

    · Ability to use IT based resources to support play and club administration

    · Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate

    · Food Hygiene Certificate

    · Appropriate child protection training

    · Ability to create, deliver and implement training programmes to staff members,
  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

    Salary is £15.14 per hour.
