Assembly Operative

Produce finished roof lights to company schedules and drawings, while maintaining excellent housekeeping and following the company's ISO 9001 2015 quality policy.

Responsibilities

• To operate machinery


• To assemble all variants of the Glazing Vision product range, Operate production machinery to create parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly into roof lights


• Make recommendations for improvement in process or products as appropriate


• Ensure work area is tidy and organised


• Store products and components in such way as not to lead to damage, defects or a safety hazard


• Carry out any reasonable request given by Line Supervisor
  
  Must be able to use hand tools


• Must be to be able to interpret engineering drawings


• Be able to hand build bespoke units


• Excellent time management skills


• Be able to work on own initiative


• Able to work in a target driven environment, Good verbal and written English


• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures/practice


Desirable

• Forklift licence


• Abrasive wheels, How many years of manufacturing experience do you have?


• Do you have a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures/practice


Language:

• Do you speak and write English (preferred)
  
  Hours of Work: full-time- 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours a day from 07:30 am to 3:30pm
