We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Headteacher (SENCo) to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Headteacher (SENCo) at Buzz Learning, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised learning experiences and support to students with Special Educational Needs. You will have the opportunity to work with students aged 11-24, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in line with our inclusive ethos.,

  • Support Buzz to achieve outstanding results with Ofsted and other statutory bodies.

  • Support the management of systems, routines and processes to work effectively in line at least with statutory requirements.

  • Support the Head in the management, organisation and administration of Buzz Learning with a particular focus on learner progress and interventions.

  • Work with the Head and SLT to lead and manage strategic areas of Buzz's development.

  • Be proactive in establishing communications which foster good relations with all stakeholders, external agencies, individuals and organisations and which, through consultation, seek their positive support and active involvement in Buzz Learning.

  • Provide information and advice to the Head and Regional Director in accordance with Governance arrangements and support proper accountability processes throughout Buzz Learning.

  • Engender and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders which ensure the best outcomes for children and young people, to include creation n of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), EHCP reviews and facilitating PEP meetings etc

  • Take on specific tasks related to the day to day administration and organisation of Buzz Learning.

  • Take responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed at least annually.

  • Take on any additional responsibilities which might from time to time be determined.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Special Education Needs (SEN) or relevant subject area.

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a school or college setting.

  • Strong understanding of SEN principles, strategies, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Understanding of Ofsted requirements

  • Ability to lead and provide a clear vision

  • Ability to motivate and develop people and the confidence to exercise delegated authority in a lead role
