This role is currently being advertised for our offices in Llangefni & Oxford, and can accomodate the suitable candidate at either location.

We rely on our Assistant Management Accountants for the preparation, development and improvement of financial and management reporting across the business. Working in one of our Central Support functions, you'll be part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant service and to get the job done.

Here's a quick overview of some of the things you can expect to do as a Assistant Management Accountant with Huws Gray:

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the business down to division and branch level

  • Allocation of costs across multiple divisions and branches to ensure accurate cost centre charges

  • Maintain rigorous and robust balance sheet control reconciliations

  • Preparation and processing of monthly journals (inc accruals and prepayments)

  • Supporting the wider Finance team and the operations of the business - collaborating to ensure that financial information is accurate and complete

  • Building and maintaining an excellent relationship with stakeholders and colleagues

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts records and spreadsheets

  • Assist with financial queries

  • Assist with customer rebate queries and payment requests

  • Monitor financial performance of costs against budget and provide regular updates to management

  • Other duties as required

    Strong Excel skills

  • Be an active studier (studying AAT level 3-4 or looking to commence in either ACCA or CIMA (we can provide study support for the successful person)

  • Self-starter who can work under own initiative

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good planning and organisation skills: able to work to tight deadlines
