Salary £25,979 to £28,770

Actual Salary £22,245.85 to £24,635.79

37 Hours Per Week ~ Term Time Plus 5 Days ~ Required ASAP

Bury C of E High School has recently joined the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E Multi Academy Trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other schools in the MAT; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress. We work closely with teaching hubs that train the outstanding teachers of the future. If you have a desire to progress into teaching, we would love to support you on this journey.

Main Duties:

  • To record and report on pupil attendance and punctuality

  • Support effective communication between school and families in relation to attendance issues

  • Ensure all students' attendance is monitored on a daily basis and take relevant actions to raise and highlight levels of attendance across the year groups

  • To support pupils and families in raising attendance at school and providing timely and effective interventions to Persistence absenteeism and Serious Absenteeism

  • Ensure that contact with a wide range of people is friendly, supportive and professional, and that complex queries and potential conflict situations are well-handled


  • The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to form positive, professional and empathetic relationships with colleagues and students


  • The working hours will be:

    7.4 hours per day
