Full Job Description

As a C#, .Net Software Developer, you will report directly to the IT Systems Manager to oversee the designing, coding, testing, and maintenance of internal software applications. A primary focus of the C#, .Net Software Developer will be to work with the internal Development team and implement software solutions that match business requirements which solves problems and user needs. The C#, .Net Software Developer requires good working knowledge of programming languages and has the capability to learn new technology quickly. The ability to work in a team and agile environment is essential.,

  • Design, develop, and implement web applications using ASP.NET and ASP.NET Web API.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with industry standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand functional / business requirements and define software / technical requirements

  • Work with the .NET Framework / .Net Core Class Library and potentially third-party libraries to achieve desired functionalities

  • Responding to requests that are triaged into the development team.

  • Integrate with external APIs as needed

  • Interact with relational databases using ADO.NET for data persistence

  • Deploy and manage ASP.NET applications on Azure App Service

  • Implement DevOps practices using Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)

  • Interact with Azure database services like Azure SQL Database or Azure Cosmos DB

  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and stability

  • Conduct code peer reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain documentation for software design, development, and testing processes

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies

  • Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

    Proven experience developing software applications using C# and .NET Framework / .Net Core

  • Strong understanding of ASP.NET and ASP.NET Web API for building web apps and APIs

  • Knowledge of other coding languages, examples below

  • PHP, Python, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript

  • Familiarity with Angular Framework

  • Project experience including delivery of software solutions

  • Comfortable with technical documentation

  • Experience working with relational databases e.g. SQL Server

  • Experience with Azure App Service and Azure DevOps is desirable

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Leadership role to the development team to provide advice and code reviews

  • Ability to provide instructions and work in a team environment

  • Very detail-oriented with the continuous cycles of inspection and adaption, C#, .Net Software Developer: 2 years (preferred)
