Full Job Description

  • Helping with commercial property cases from initial instruction through to post completion.

  • Liaising with clients, other professionals, referrers and estate agents over the telephone, by letter or by email.

  • Drafting basic contracts, transfers, leases and Land Registry forms.

  • Working from verbal instruction and notes.

  • Making appointments and diary management

  • Land Registry on-line application and search requests

  • HMRC Stamp duty on-line applications

  • File ledger management i.e. invoices, completion statements, notification of funds receipts, disbursement payments

  • Assisting with any administrative tasks

    RJS are looking for a full-time Property Paralegal with experience in either residential or commercial property transactions to join our growing Commercial Property team.


    • The candidate will be well presented with a positive and professional manner, a strong team player who strives for high standards in their work and is able to manage an active pipeline to support one qualified solicitor.

    Previous experience working in a commercial property department is desirable.,
  • Law degree or the equivalent. (Experience will be considered in place of a law degree.)

  • Advanced MS skills and competent in the use of databases and systems

  • Strong customer facing / customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with responsibilities

  • A desire to learn and develop legal skills in the area of commercial property.
