Delivery Driver / Store Assistant

At Savoy Timber we have three retail DIY shops & timber yards located throughout the North West. We are currently expanding our operations at Preston and are now looking for an experienced delivery drivers who are energetic, hard working and reliable. The ideal candidates will have experience in delivery driving and heavy lifting. We have an extensive fleet of delivery vehicles and we expect vehicles to be kept clean, tidy and well maintained, you should have a clean driving record and driving licence. The suitable candidate will also be able to adapt to working in our store, timber yards and storage hub. They must be fit and able to lift heavy products as necessary.,

• Driving a company delivery vehicle including transit, Curtain size box van or flat bed pick up daily to customer locations and delivering clients Savoy Timber Goods


• Following a route plan and checking off stock at customer locations


• Loading vehicles with timber/ worktop/ door products for pre-organised runs


• Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean


• Heavy lifting of timber, composite decking, worktops, doors and various other products.


• Forklift driving (licence advantageous)


We are looking for someone for an immediate start, rates of pay are above the average, the work is hard but very rewarding, we have a great team and work ethic. Our reputation is extremely important to us and as a driver and team member you will be representing the company.
