Digitisation Support Engineer

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Continuous improvement & Engineering Manager, working closely with Operations, CI and Engineering teams to develop, prepare and analyse generated data to aid performance improvement. Supporting & delivering long-term digitisation of operations tools & activities. Working with internal customers across local site & other Safran sites, liaising directly but not exclusively with CI/Engineering, Digitisation/OT & IS departments to aid development, deployment and standardisation of digital operational tools.,

• Responsible for the development of data analysis material and reporting to support performance improvement across internal functions


• Develop digital tools to aid production planning, prioritisation & work in progress management. Focus on automated visual data


• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and supporting the implementation of solutions


• Analysis of data and developing reports to support the achievement of customer on time delivery. Also responsible for maintaining and updating specific reports in line with key deadlines


• Analyse internal performance data in order to identify trends and highlight improvement actions required across functions to support customer satisfaction targets


• Follow up with internal functions on identified improvement actions and report progress to key stakeholders


• Review all of the data management activities across the Business and identify process improvements to give greater efficiency


• Ensure standard work is in place and maintained for the compilation of all reports
  
  Previous knowledge of SQL, API connections, Power Bi & SaaS applications is essential


• Previous knowledge of production planning tools, OPEX, PAC, MPS & SQCDPI, Razor & C++ are desirable


• Proven experience of data analysis and reporting to a senior level


• Can demonstrate the ability to interrogate complex data, identify trends and determine required improvement actions


• Self-motivator with an inquisitive, tenacious nature, together with strong problem solving skills


• Ability to influence others to implement performance improvement recommendations


• Highly developed computer skills in MS Office applications and Power BI are essential


• Excellent communication and presentation skills


• Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple business reporting requirements


• A working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and processes
