Full Job Description

The apprentice will be working alongside the other staff, to provide the best possible care for babies and young children. They will learn through working in house as well as receiving training sessions.

  • The apprentice will be expected to work alongside all the staff and be given opportunities to learn about all areas of childcare, including the EYFS, planning, running activities, run circle times and reading stories.

  • To be able to be counted in ratio both inside and outside.

  • To be trained to understand safeguarding and risk assessments.


  • It would be an added advantage if the candidates currently had a level 2 and were looking to move onto a level 3 or Maths and English GCSE.

    £11,648.00 to £20,820.80
    Pay will be on a monthly basis. Either at the apprenticeship wage or the national minimum, according to age and experience.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
    Minimum Wage Rates
  • Working week

  • Between the hours of 7.30 - 6.00pm from Monday to Thursday. Half day on Friday. There will be no evening or weekend work. There is a requirement to work approximately 30 hours., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience.
