Pretty Lavish continues to emerge within the fashion industry bridging the gap between the high street and designer brands. Recognised for our sophisticated occasionwear, luxury knitwear and more recently our sleek and modern bridesmaids collection. As the journey continues we are looking for a motivated individual to join our passionate team.

The assistant will be part of a growing finance team and will have the opportunity to work alongside other departments with their finance requirements. This is a critical role within a small finance team. The ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure, able to manage multiple tasks and be extremely organised. It is a very exciting opportunity for someone to enter / progress in an accountancy role within a fast growing company.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping of purchase invoices on a weekly basis

  • Raising sales invoices and completing full credit control chasing payments

  • Bank reconciliations of all accounts including petty cash on a weekly basis

  • Reconciliation of credit card statements on a monthly basis

  • Preparing fortnightly payment run for review

  • Analysis of logistics invoices on a weekly basis

  • Preparation of manufacturers invoices on a daily basis

  • Liaising with internal PL teams as well as third party providers, clients, and suppliers where required

  • Assisting with management reporting

  • Assisting with compliance reporting

  • Assistance with preparation of performance and cost analysis

  • Be lead partner to the Buying and Logisitcs team process

  • Assistance with day to day adhoc tasks

    Currently studying towards AAT qualification or higher

  • Retail experience desired

  • Prior working experience in finance functions

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Self starter & ability to be reactive to work needs

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience using an accounts software. We currently use Xero

  • Intermediate excel
