Full Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
The key roles & responsibilities of the position will be to attend live matches and carry out video scouting to ensure the scout report database is constantly being added to with focused and thorough reports. The successful candidate will be expected to attend between 2-4 live fixtures per week, and use their office/work from home time to complete player reports through video scouting.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Chief Scout and Recruitment Analyst, prioritising reports on players identified by data analytics and following up on players scouted in live matches. They will also use video scouting to report on players in foreign leagues as the club looks to expand it's scouting coverage.

The successful candidate will be required to know Leyton Orient's playing style and positional requirements to ensure targets are judged with relevance to our team.
They must be able to travel up to approx. 1.5hrs for live matches, and be capable of completing video scout reports during office hours, planned around attending live fixtures.
They must have good attention to detail, complete their work reliably with a high level of accuracy, and work to deadlines & time constraints. They should also be comfortable working as part of a team and individually when needed.

Required Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have 3+ seasons experience of scouting or analysis at Championship, League One, League Two and/or National League level. They must have experience of using Wyscout, and completing scout reports at live games and through video scouting too.

Location & Working Hours
The successful candidate will be required to attend live matches on the majority of Tuesday nights & Saturday afternoons, and sometimes an additional Monday, Wednesday or Friday depending on fixtures. On days when a live match is attended, it would be expected that a half day of video scouting would be completed. On days with no live fixture, it would be expected that 6-7 hours of video scouting should be completed.
They will be expected to attend the training ground (Chigwell) 1-3 days per week depending on the team's schedule, and are welcome to work from home on remaining days, typically having Thursdays and Sundays off.
