Full Stack Developer

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

• Working on front and back-end technologies to build out new features and capabilities of the web portal


• Building APIs with established /new micro services


• Developing and working on SQL Server database and code


• Contributing to Design documentation and blueprints as required


• Collaborating with application and business users, articulate complex technical concepts


• Understanding business challenges and implement appropriate solutions using various tools and frameworks


• Supporting and coaching more junior developers to help deliver the best technical solutions
  
  Experience with SQL Server (preferably 2019), specifically designing logical models


• Solid knowledge of C# and asp.NET /.NET Core, Web Api, Web Services, REST


• Previous experience with HTML /CSS, SCSS. JavaScript


• Knowledge of software development tools, using Visual Studio, VSCode


Skills that will help you in the role:

• Ability to create design documentation based on business requirements


• Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements for new capabilities
  
  As a Barclays Full Stack Developer, you will develop within a feature team in Skylight, Self Service Platform for Global Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS). Skylight is used by internal customers for requesting new infrastructure and helping to manage their services with automated actions. This is an exciting role, as Skylight is the new GTIS Enterprise Self Service portal, which will over the coming months and years, become colleagues' go to place for Browsing, Buying, Building and Managing GTIS Enterprise Products and services.
