Gardener team leader

Warwick Ward Garden Maintenance is looking for a full time gardener to join our team. The gardener will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our landscape.

Duties include:

• Planting, pruning, and watering of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals


• Harvesting of plants and removal of trash


• Light maintenance of landscape beds and containers


• Maintaining the irrigation system and drainage system


• Maintaining the equipment and tools used in the garden including mowers, weed eaters, and pruners


• Cleaning of the garden and grounds


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager as needed
  
  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team mentality


• Ability to work in cold, hot, humid weather conditions


• Ability to lift heavy objects as needed


• Knowledge of basic landscaping principles such as mulching, plant food applications, sod set-up and maintenance, etc.


• Knowledge of how to use basic gardening tools (cutters, shovels, edgers) and hoeing up to help with small jobs around the property.


• Ability to read a map or other detailed maps to find the best routes for mowing or other gardening tasks.
