Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a strategically minded Accountant to expand our Group Capital Management Team. Collaborating with our Commercial, Financial and Risk functions and inputting directly into the wider business strategy, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking exposure to a strategically important business area.   • Lead the delivery of strategically important capital deliverables including the ICAAP, capital stress testing and capital forecasting.

  • Produce high quality reports and communicate key messages in a straightforward, business-focussed way to key stakeholders.

  • Provide capital regulatory expertise and consultancy to other business areas.

  • Maintain an appropriate breadth and depth of technical knowledge in relation to emerging regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of prevailing and emerging capital regulation.

    Accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

  • An ability to interpret regulatory requirements, identify linkages between different regulatory requirements and establish the impact of capital regulation on the Society.

  • An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences clearly, succinctly and with impact in both written and verbal form.

  • Strong project prioritisation, planning and management skills, with an ability to balance the demands of multiple pieces of work simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of the prevailing and emerging prudential regulatory environment in which the Society operates.

    The Group Capital Management Team works closely with teams across the business including the wider Finance team, and the Risk and Commercial functions to support strategic decisions, provide insight from a capital perspective and ensure the effective management of capital.
