Lichfield Cathedral School is a flourishing co-educational independent school in Staffordshire for ages 2½ to 18. Head of Year (non-teaching)

The main aim of the role is to be a Head of Year for identified year groups, provide support to the Assistant Head and other Heads of Year to promote good Attitude to Learning of students, deal promptly with any conflicts and incidents according to school policies and contribute to the implementation and monitoring of behaviour management within the school. As a Head of Year at Lichfield Cathedral School you will be assisting a strong team who support our pupils' welfare and well-being.

You will liaise with Teaching Staff, Form Tutors, other Heads of Year and the Assistant Head to give the team and the pupils support with any issues. This can vary from the day-to-day, support with any safeguarding issues, behaviour issues or attendance issues. Part of the role will be administrative by nature, but a lot of the time you will be working alongside pupils, ensuring that they are well supported throughout their time at the school.

The hours for the role will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, during term time only.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable individual to take on this newly expanded role. You should ideally have experience in a similar role, but this is not essential. It is key that you are self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative, well organised, and have good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.

We are looking for the right candidate to fill this role to continue to support the excellent education upon which the school prides itself, as reflected our most recent ISI Inspection.
