Hub (Warehouse) Morning Shift Lead

We are a small team managing a logistics hub in Bermondsey delivering all over the London. You shall be working the morning shift, for 7 hours between 6am-1pm, 5 mornings a week within our 24/7 operation

You'll provide leadership for the morning hub team, ensuring the operation runs smoothly. You shall be focused on dispatch activities, leading the morning team in picking and loading the routes going out for the day, ensuring our drivers head out on time with all their packs to to be delivered that day.

We are looking for someone who has strong experience working in a logistics warehouse and is excited to work for a company trying to do things differently. We are constantly changing and improving processes so this role is perfect for someone that loves to work in fast-paced environments and quick to learn new things.

As there's a physical element to this role, you'll need to be comfortable loading vans and lifting and carrying boxes up to 30kg.

A typical shift would involve:

• Picking and sorting packs onto trolleys for different delivery routes in time for departure


• Assisting our Live ops team in problem solving any issues quickly to get drivers out on time


• Assisting drivers to resolve any issues quickly before they set off


• Stock-taking packs on shelves


• Keeping the hub space organised and tidy, and organised


• Moving, parking and conducting van checks around then depot when needed


• Managing a small team working at a high level
  
  We're looking for highly-driven, warehouse operative lead to join our team on a 3 month contract paternity cover, with the possibility of this becoming a full time role!, You have experience managing an area or shift within a warehouse/logistics/depot environment


• Experience managing people and leading a team


• You are motivated and a self starter with a can do attitude


• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and feel comfortable using technology (Technology essential - but training will be given!)


• You're quick on your feet when faced with problems and can easily adapt to change; we will be evolving the way we do things as we grow!


• You have a valid driving license (nice to have)


• Have a counterbalance forklift licence (nice to have)


• You have an attention to detail and drive to maintain a high standard of performance within the hub


• You are able to get to and from our Bermondsey hub

Pay: £14.50-£15.00 per hour
