Full Job Description

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Intensive Family Support Worker.

The successful candidate will use their extensive knowledge of children, young people and families to provide holistic packages of support to young people on the edge of care in order to prevent family breakdown. This support will be delivered within a restorative practice framework aimed at working 'with' families to empower them.

The Intensive Family Support Worker will also work closely with social workers and practitioners from other professions within a multi-agency context to ensure a co-ordinated approach to casework planning.

The post holder will plan, supervise and assess contact between children and their parents or extended family with the aim of achieving high quality, safe contact as well as developing and promoting programmes of social education, activities, support, advice and information for young people within the context of a whole family casework approach.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
