Full Job Description

Overseeing the JLR Material Planning team by guiding and supporting them in all activities and processes. Own all planning activities for the UK JLR contract and support where necessary the EU operations. Motivate team members to deliver required performance levels to meet customer expectations. Key liaison with Warehouse, Commercial, FSP teams. Reporting into the Material Planning Manager.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Maintain and develop all JLR customers whilst supporting all team members

Analyse and interpret all JLR customers activities and processes

Ensure the material planning cycle is accurately reflected in our MRP (Material Planning) system for all JLR accounts

To continually look at how the team and planning process can improve

Be the point of contact for all JLR escalations

Develop strengths and improve weaknesses within the JLR Team

Oversee, evaluate and action MRP and FSP JLR accounts to ensure maximum on time deliveries and cost reduction in conjunction with other departments

Support JLR team members customers during holiday and sickness cover

Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organisational development

Ensure all parts are available at FSPs sites in line with safety stock requirements

Answer JLR Team Members questions promptly, offering help with any problems that occur and oversee team members work for quality and guideline compliance

Generate and share comprehensive detailed reports reference JLR team members, mission related objectives and deadlines to your Manager

Maintain data integrity, support finance, quality and dispatch team with day to day operations

Continue to work with the JLR team to improve work processes, on time deliveries and cost reductions in conjunction with other departments

Develop strategies with your Manager to promote team members adherence to Company regulations and performance goals

Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and TS16949

Responsible for the communication and adherence of all direct reports to Bulten Group & Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy and procedures

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Environmental Policy

To assist as required with any other reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements

  • Desirable:
  • Previous Management experience

  • Business Administration qualification

  • A Level or Degree level education

    Full time permanent position - 35 hours


  • Monday to Friday based in our Scunthorpe office
