Logistics Assistant

Due to the continued success and expansion of Avonline Networks we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Assistant to be part of our Plant, Fleet & Logistics team supporting the business in the South West.

Avonline Networks deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis. From the national fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU's) across the UK. Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU's across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.

The role & responsibilities:

Your role will involve Stock Control, Goods Inward / Outwards, Serving inhouse operatives as well as our wide range of sub-contractors, General warehouse housekeeping.. We are currently updating all systems with hand held technology so is an ideal time to join. There will also be occasions when you will use a company vehicle to make remote deliveries and could be called on to potentially support other locations in the South West.

You will:

• Stock Picking / Control


• Goods Inwards / Outwards


• Vehicle Cleaning


• Yard Duties


• Occasional stock deliveries to site


• Cleaning warehouse


• Adhoc Duties
  
  Driving Licence (Max 6 points)


• Counterbalance forklift Licence (Within 3 years)


• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills


• Self-motivated and thrives in busy working environment


• Able to work unsupervised when required
