Mechanical Engineering Apprentice

As a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice you will work on a wide range of mechanical and manufacturing systems and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, improving efficiency and safety, attending breakdowns and ensuring the manufacturing facilities run as efficiently as possible.,

• Attend the workplace 4 days per week to work on NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Engineering Maintenance.


• Essential Digital Literacy Skills Level 2.


• Attend college 1 day per week to continue to work on Level 3 Diploma in Engineering


• Complete additional training courses relevant to the engineering discipline of your apprenticeship.


Year 3

• Attend the workplace 4 days per week to continue with your NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Engineering Maintenance.


• Attend college 1 day per week to undertake a HNC in Engineering.


• Complete additional training courses relevant to the engineering discipline of your apprenticeship.


Year 4

• Complete your NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Engineering Maintenance in the workplace.


• Attend college 1 day per week to complete HNC in Engineering.


• Complete additional training courses relevant to the engineering discipline of your apprenticeship.
  
  Level 3 Diploma in Engineering.


• NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations.


• Start your NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Engineering Maintenance.


• Complete additional training courses relevant to the engineering discipline of your apprenticeship., You will have a strong set of GCSE results, as a minimum you must have 6 GCSE's with Maths, English and Sciences at Grade C or above


• A-Levels are not essential but welcomed, as are FE or HE qualifications undertaken since school


• You will be motivated to learn and have excellent discipline in the management of your learning and qualifications


• You will be a natural self-starter, taking ownership of your performance and reputation in the workplace


• You will have excellent self-discipline.
