Full Job Description

As Operator (machining) the role will be responsible for the operation of CNC machinery within our Hi-Tech machine shop producing low batch high mix production runs of component parts for the Aircraft interiors business.,

  • Operate CNC machinery to produce production runs of parts in accordance with a daily production plan.

  • Some self-Inspection of repeat work using the appropriate inspection equipment (training to be given)

  • Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery. (training to be given)

  • Advise Team Lead and production engineering team of production issues and defects.

  • Supporting and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase production.

  • Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with peers and support teams.

  • Maintain quality standard through the understanding of the quality management system.

  • Adherence to all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.

  • Adhere to housekeeping, 5s and FOD rules ensuring a best in class organized working environment is always maintained.

    5GCSE level qualifications to include maths and English and/or experience in manufacturing production environment., Previous machining background preferred.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office software

  • Experience of lean manufacturing techniques

  • Experience in completing projects for process improvement.

    Hours of work:

    Standard Hours - 39 hours per week

    Monday to Thursday:

    07.00 to 16.00

    Friday:

    07.00 to 12.00
