Part time Bookkeeper

We are a small friendly company looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage all financial aspects of our business.

• Minimum 20 hours per week



• Preferred over 5 days, but no less than 3



• Accuracy, speed and efficiency



• Accounting qualification or QBE


This is a role that demands experience with the benefit of flexible working hours to suit.

We are looking for candidates that can assume responsibility for all financial transactions and demonstrate a high level of accuracy. You must be able to work on your own initiative and possess excellent organizational skills in order to prioritise workload.

The role will include:

• Managing our Purchase Ledger including fortnightly payment runs


• Managing our Sales Ledger including raising customer invoices and credit control


• Reconciliation of credit card payments


• Bank Reconciliations


• VAT returns


• Calculation of accruals and prepayments


• Operating the monthly payroll process including pension administration


• Preparation of monthly management accounts


• Ad hoc reports and analysis for our MD as required
  
  A competent user of Outlook, Word and Excel is essential and experience using Sage is desirable.


Some experience of dealing with customers on the phone is beneficial, to assist when the office is busy. A good command of English language and spelling is essential to be able to complete email communications. A happy, self-confident character is required to be comfortabe in this manufacturing environment.,

Experience:

• Sales & Purchase Ledger: 5 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Driving licence and vehicle to get yourself to /from work (preferred)
  
  We are located in a rural setting just outside Maidenhead, with beautiful views across fields, on-site parking and close to good road links. Ideally you should live within a 30 minute radius and must be able to drive yourself to work.


We can offer you a salary range from £16 - £20 per hour depending on experience. We offer pro rata 28 days holiday including 8 Bank Holidays, a Company pension contribution scheme and a casual dress policy.
