Full Job Description

The post holder will provideday to day management of all multi-disciplinary trades staff for the purposes of organising the day to day completion of planned preventive maintenance works (PPMs) and the day to day management of the Estates stores team.

  • Manage, promote and be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the technical services and fabric of the properties across multiple sites by the implementation and management of the PPM schedule.

  • Actively follow up and track remedial work produced from PPM returns and report any none compliance 'issues' to the Estates / Compliance team.

  • To meet with the client's staff at all levels to arrange system shutdowns and report completion of works, and manage final handover.

  • + To maintain detail records such as work sheets, control and scheduling of planned leave and absence.
    + To programme, control, co-ordinate and monitor the pre-planned building fabric/ engineering maintenance and statutory inspections to ensure the estate is maintained in such a condition that it fulfils its functions effectively, safely, economically and efficiently.
    + To ensure that works are managed effectively to ensure that the required and charged works are completed as per the terms of the agreement.
    + To support the Operations Manager and Estates Managers in ensuring that all relevant statutory regulations, policies, codes of practice, guidelines and departmental safety procedure are adhered to and participate in various forms of appropriate training provided by the Trust.
    o To provide day to day management of the Stores staff. Using Concept Evolution CAFM, the post holder will effectively allocate and deploy the multi-disciplinary trades staff across the estate to carry out statutory Planned Preventative Maintenance for buildings, equipment and infrastructure.
    + To assist in the development of an annually periodic programme of testing & maintenance for the Estates Operations team.
    o To drive the Trust vehicles where necessary.

  • Educated to GCSE level

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Experience of the co-ordination of all maintenance in relation to the building services including building fabric and structure using internal and external resources

  • Good Understanding of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) techniques related to property and building services

  • IT literate

  • Ability to work unsupervised and to plan multiple trades teams simultaneously

  • Ability to understand technical information and to relay this in non-technical terms to various non-technical stakeholders
