Are you passionate about improving social work practice and enhancing workforce development? We're seeking a dedicated Practice Development Coordinator to lead regional initiatives that empower staff across local authorities and the wider system.,

  • Workforce Development Plan: Develop a comprehensive workforce development plan that spans local authorities, agencies, and partners.

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Engage stakeholders from CAFCASS, the judiciary, private solicitors, and other relevant partners to create a cohesive approach.

  • Focus Areas:

  • Effective Pre-Proceedings: Enhance pre-proceedings practices to support families effectively.

  • Court Skills Development: Facilitate training for staff to improve court-related skills.

  • Family Network Engagement: Unlock family networks to strengthen support systems

  • Family Support Worker Training: Design and implement training programs to upskill family support workers in navigating pre-proceedings and court processes.

  • Reducing Turnover: Implement strategies to reduce staff turnover within the social work workforce, minimizing reliance on agency workers.

  • Local Family Justice Board Action Plan: Align regional workforce development efforts with the LFJB action plan, including judicial-led training for senior managers in Local Authorities to ensure consistent understanding and application of DoLS.

    Degree in Social Work or related field

  • Experience in workforce development, project management, or related roles

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Knowledge of legal frameworks and social work practices, Note: Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to anytime they were overseas.
