Full Job Description

The Production Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Production Manager at Forest Garden in maximising departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the Production Administrator will complete the Business Administrator Level 3 course, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to administrative tasks within the company.,

  • Provide administrative support to the Production Manager, including but not limited to, data entry, filing, and document management.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, staff rosters, and performance metrics.

  • Aid in coordinating and scheduling meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

  • Assist in monitoring and managing departmental resources, including office supplies and equipment.

  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures by ensuring documentation is organised and readily accessible.

  • Assist in conducting regular safety checks and reporting any issues to the appropriate person.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist in onboarding new colleagues by providing administrative support during the induction process.

  • Support the Production Manager in tracking and reporting departmental performance against key objectives.

  • Complete tasks related to the Administration Apprentice Level 3 course, including coursework, assessments, and training sessions., Assist the Production Manager in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

  • Support the Production Manager in coordinating production schedules and resources to meet business requirements.

  • Provide administrative support to the Operations team, including preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.

  • Assist in organising and facilitating team meetings, including preparing agendas and distributing materials.

  • Complete coursework and assessments related to the Administration Apprentice Level 3 course.

  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop administrative skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or other designated supervisors.


  • Apprenticeship Details:

    The Production Administrator will enrol in the Institute for Apprenticeships Business Administrator Level 3 course, which covers a range of topics including business support, communication, project management, and data analysis. Throughout the apprenticeship, the apprentice will receive on-the-job training and support from experienced professionals while completing coursework, assessments, and training sessions specified by the apprenticeship standard. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will attain a nationally recognised qualification and develop valuable skills for a career in administration.
