Full Job Description

We are seeking to employ a Laboratory Technician to work as part of a team of Science Laboratory Technicians and Science Teachers within a leading independent boarding school.

Hours: Part time role, 22.5 hours per week, to fit around the requirements of the department Term time only, 34 weeks

Salary: £12.00 per hour

  • Person Specification
  • Experience as a Science Technician in Schools is desirable

  • A Science or Engineering background would be advantageous

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced environment

  • A methodical, skilled planner

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • High levels of initiative

  • Enjoys working in a challenging role and the ability to cope with time and other pressures

  • Be polite, professional and friendly at all times with pupils and colleagues.

  • Be able work as part of a team

  • Be prepared to assist colleagues in a willing and positive manner including assisting with other duties as required

  • Be flexible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy
