Full Job Description

If so, we'd like to hear from you. We're looking for an enthusiastic technician to join our Science Department to support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum. Under the instruction/guidance of the Head of Science and Senior Science Technician, the successful candidate will provide general support across the science curriculum. This will include:

  • supporting the work of teaching staff and students

  • liaising with teaching staff over equipment requirements

  • checking stock and order resources

  • preparing and maintaining science equipment, chemicals and other resources

  • following health and safety procedures


  • A science background is important; relevant experience is desirable but not essential as appropriate training will be provided.,

    Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), term-time + 2 weeks (a total of 45.8 weeks/year)

    Salary: Grade 4. £23,500/year; the pro rata salary for 45.8 weeks is £20,658
