Full Job Description

In this role you will provide management to the MEP team on a portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally, having the duty of ensuring correct technical approaches are applied to the project and staff are of suitable capabilities to undertake the task at hand. You will be expected to have project management skills and will have responsibility for the financial performance of the projects including liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters, effectively overseeing total project delivery by enabling effective team management and delegation to ensure the efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple and complex projects, reporting to the Project Director.

  • Are degree qualified in Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services Engineering.

  • Have achieved Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution such as IMechE or CIBSE.

  • Have extensive experience in winning and delivering a range of projects.

  • Have the ability to provide technical leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams including external sub-consultants.

  • Have strong awareness of appropriate sector-specific legislation, regulatory requirements and design guidance and future trends.

    We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Senior Engineer with excellent design, communication, technical, and sustainability skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, taking ownership for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results. You will be able to demonstrate a solid background in the field of Mechanical Engineering Systems for building services, and a track record of multi-disciplinary design by bringing the best of Arup together.

    You will join our creative and friendly Building Engineering team, choosing from one of our offices in the West (Bristol, Cardiff or Southampton).
