Full Job Description

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues

  • Carry out inspections and service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner, meeting manufacture standards and timeframes as required, contributing to an outstanding customer experience

  • Use your technical knowledge and skills to perform all work efficiently, economically whilst providing a safe servicing and repair of customer vehicles

  • Be responsible for accurately completing repair and service records as well as any other appropriate activities and supporting company policy and best practice

  • Analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle's condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed to

    At least Level 3 Qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent

  • Senior / Diagnostic / Master Technicians having at least 3 years experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics

  • Electric & Hybrid Vehicle trained and experience would be an advantage - although training can be provided

  • Ability to understand and carry out diagnosis in both mechanical and electrical work

  • Experience working in a main branded dealership workshop or a busy independent garage

  • Experienced in dealing directly with customers, with good verbal, and written communication skills

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence, Vehicle Diagnostics: 1 year (preferred)

  • Vehicle Technician: 3 years (required)

    Calex UK is a training provider for a number of automotive manufacturers, including Stellantis who manufacture brands Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Vauxhall, Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Abarth. Calex UK is also an automotive recruiter and are contracted to Stellantis to support and supply talent for roles within their UK dealership network., This role has been advertised on behalf of Stellantis by Calex UK.     Monday to Friday: 8.15 am - 5.15 pm (1/2 hour lunch-break)

  • Alternate Saturdays 8.15 am - 12.15 pm

  • Basic Salary £35,000 - £39,000

  • Plus Bonus giving OTE from £44,000
