Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Processes and Recycling Team Leader to join our friendly team based in Cheltenham. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.

As Specialist Processes and Recycling Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily coordination, reporting, and management of the Disposal and Recycling department. You will ensure an efficient and timely Disposal, Waste/Recycling collection service whilst driving KPIs and productivity inline with SLA's whilst maintaining a high degree of material handling, security and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of the department, ensuring the material receiving and collection function is appropriately resourced throughout contractual service hours and to meet agreed periods of work outside normal working hours.

  • Leading, managing and motivating the team to deliver on its daily operational commitments.

  • Prioritise tasks to ensure that KPI and SLAs and operational deadlines are met.

  • Ensure all aspects of the waste / disposal, recycling function are compliant with all mandatory and client regulations.

  • To continually develop the department, implementing initiatives and instilling a culture of continuous improvement With the focus on recycling, sustainability and green initiatives. Keeping updated with both legislative and industry standards.

  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, further enhancing client relationships in a supportive and collaborative way.

  • Actively monitor, record and maintain information as required contributing to operational performance. The detailed recording, monitoring and presentation of waste statistics is important to ensure we know and understand the trends of the waste business.

  • Monitor relationships with key stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are fully met and KPI's and SLA's are achieved.

  • Instilling the culture of mentoring, coaching, development, wellbeing through leadership of the team.

  • Change advocate in support of new business initiatives / development and future ways of working with the focus on improving sustainability and green initiatives.

  • Promoting the development of the team through empowerment, collaborative working, communication and feedback.

  • Providing SME waste protocol advice to the client and on site G4S management team.

  • Assist in the development of the department annual budget.

  • Promote G4S environmental and sustainability policy meeting set targets for the reduction in the department's carbon footprint.

    Are you experienced in a Waste/Recycling and warehouse processing environment? Are you an excellent communicator with team leader experience?   • Good verbal and written communications skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders, ideally within a secure government environment

  • IT literate with experience of Google and Microsoft office.

  • Full clean driving licence required.
