As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Supplier Operational Support Manager.

The successful candidate can expect to:

This role will lead the Europe Region's supplier performance team to drive improvements in underperforming suppliers, utilising the Supplier Operational Support (SOS) framework. The role will work in collaboration with the site-based supply chain team to identify key suppliers that require improvement because of delivery, quality or engineering related issues. Engagement with the Regional Supplier Performance Team to ensure best use of resource will also be required. The team will be responsible for the recovery of the selected suppliers.,

  • Lead a team of supplier performance professionals based out of UK and France.

  • Drive suppliers to improve performance and offer competitive benefits to Collins

  • Influence and Engage key Stakeholders to resolve complex supplier related issues and improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure alignment between Operational Procurement, Account Management, Commodities and other Actuation sites when dealing with suppliers

  • Identify where Subject Matter Experts are required to improve supplier performance

  • Regular reporting of key KPIs on suppliers and plan to close out on gaps

  • Present to all levels supplier status and initiatives

  • LOB tracking, Component Expediting and reducing lead time on critical programs. Arears recovery and execution of recovery plans with critical SOS suppliers.

  • Use of Lean tools to improve efficiency of supplier processes. Linkage and flow, capacity planning, Elimination of Scrap & Rework.

  • Daily Communication of critical actions & Milestones to Collins stakeholders.

  • Any additional tasks as requested by the management team

  • Compliance with all Collins policies and regulatory procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements

  • Experience in an Aerospace/Aircraft Maintenance or manufacturing background with the ability to demonstrate business experience in the areas of strategy, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.

  • Driven, accountable and pro-active, with a strong desire to develop solutions that move the business forward.

  • Strong communicator, with all relevant stakeholders, to drive issue resolution and influence key decision making.


  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in supplier development, leading a team and projects is an advantage. As well as the ability to utilise data to analyse trends to manage supplier pro-actively.

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, supply chain, engineering, MCIPS, CIPS, or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.


  • Travel Requirements:

    20-40%, both in UK and internationally, dependent upon supplier mix and business needs.
