Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with autism and other special needs, providing support and assistance in their educational journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and help them reach their full potential., Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide individualized instruction and support
- Help students develop social skills and promote positive behavior
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Provide tutoring and academic support to students as needed
- Collaborate with the teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and document observations for progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns

Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies
- Ability to follow instructions from the classroom teacher and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
