Full Job Description

To support and/or lead the implementation of a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
To lead on and promote high teaching standards, pupil achievement and progress for pupils with SEND
To coordinate SEND provision within the deployment academy and advise on SEND in respect of the Academy's Policies and Procedures, taking into account the Teachers' Standards, The SEND Code of Practice (2015) and The Equality Act (2010)as required
To support the deployment academy in their succession planning for post-deployment

We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring, and ambitious qualified SENCO to work as a Trust special needs co-ordinator for our schools, supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate must be passionate about changing lives and outcomes of young people, keen to develop as a practitioner. and willing to be deployed in any of our academies, according to where the greatest need is. There will be a remit to contribute to the development of SEND practice across our trust, while leading on the improvement of provision in a specific academy., Qualified Teacher Status
NASENCO award
Experience of working as a SENCO in a primary or secondary setting
A proven track record of positive impact through leadership at a whole school level
Experience of working in partnership with parents and external agencies to optimise outcomes for pupils with SEND
Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
The ability to travel to any of our academies for deployment 4 days a week (based centrally on a Friday)
