Full Job Description

The role of the process technician is to operate, monitor and maintain all equipment associated with the abstraction process. This will ensure the abstraction process is running safely and efficiently. Process Technicians will undertake a variety of tasks and will be required to assist the maintenance technicians with more complex duties involving confined space entries. Responsibilities include sampling, reservoir surveillance, valve operations, confined space inspections, routine checks, basic mechanical maintenance, and problem-solving., Working outside with no one day being the same provides a very interesting working environment. Based at Staines P.S. you will be covering a geographical area of West London from Datchet to Hammersmith; this role boasts its great family feel team where you will never be short of support. + Monitoring and inspecting equipment, following a checklist to carry out planned preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment/flowmeters/pumps and telemetry are operating correctly.
+ Reporting any defective equipment, to ensure a swift resolution following any breakdowns
+ Highlighting, and resolving where possible, any health and safety risks on site.
+ Taking ownership of your own, and colleagues, health, and safety through escalating any concerns to the manager and resolving them yourself where possible.
+ Make sure the work area is safe before commencing any work by undertaking a point-of-work risk assessment using your PDA device.
+ Having an awareness of budget position and how unplanned events can impact the budget. (e.g. tanker/plant/pump hire, etc.)
+ Working at other sites covering holiday/sickness / extra workload as and when required. Liaising with the planning and scheduling team to ensure your workload is managed correctly
+ Using a PDA device to record work orders being completed.
+ Attending all team meetings, engaging with safety briefings and company communications, identifying issues and raising constructive feedback with the management team, with suggestions for improvements.
+ Working on a call-out rota 1 in 6.

+ We are looking for someone who wants to get stuck in, and somebody who embraces the outdoors.
+ The successful candidate should be comfortable working both alone and within a team.
+ You will be a team player and must be passionate about your personal development and keen to learn a new industry.
+ Due to the nature of the role a full, valid UK driving licence is required.
+ You must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures, Including lone working, confined space work and boat handling.
+ You will have basic literacy and numeracy skills and some computer data input /enquiry experience is desirable but not essential.

+ Offering a salary up to £37,200 per annum depending on skills and experience.
