Full Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and organized individual looking to make a difference in pediatric healthcare? We're seeking a dedicated Ward Manager's Assistant to join the Holly Children's unit and provide essential support to our senior nursing team with administrative duties.

The Holly Children's unit comprises the Holly Children's ward, Paediatric Assessment Unit, and Children's outpatients, offering a diverse and dynamic environment to work in. In addition, occasional cross-cover at our Peterborough sites: Amazon, Jungle, and Rainforest wards may be required.

As a Ward Manager's Assistant, you'll be based within the ward environment, providing crucial administrative support to the Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Managers.

  • Organising staff's mandatory training and training requests.

  • Completing formal letters for staff in line with Trust templates.

  • Managing annual leave allocation and updating electronic staff rostering systems.

  • Coordinating staff reviews and obtaining medical notes for complaints/reviews.

  • Completing and sharing minutes from meetings.

  • Entering and organizing audit results.

    Excellent organisation skills and ability to work in a tidy and methodical manner.

  • Effective communication skills and competence in IT awareness.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.

  • Ability to thrive in a busy working environment and collaborate effectively with a great team.
