Full Job Description

  • Undertake yard duties, manual and machinery picks and undertake activities in order to meet the customer and business needs

  • Ensure all suppliers, customers and hauliers comply with Company Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures

  • Waste movement, incoming and outgoing material supervision, material loading

  • Liaise with staff to ensure procedures and processes are followed

  • Manually sort waste to ensure that all waste is sufficiently separated to the levels agreed

  • Maximise opportunities for increasing sales, reducing costs and implement improvements

    Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload

  • Competence in the use of forklift trucks and loading shovels is beneficial, but not essential

  • Have a suitable fitness level to conduct work appropriately, which include manually picking waste from tipped skips

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be self-motivated

  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to work beyond the call of duty to achieve results

  • Excellent organisation skills and good time management
