Full Job Description

Following an internal promotion, Aerial Direct are looking for a 1st Line Junior IT Engineer to join our busy IT Support team. Reporting into our Information Security & Networks Director, you will be the first point of contact for our inhouse users, providing technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.,

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support staff when necessary.


  • User Assistance:

  • Assist end-users with account setup, equipment. password resets, and access issues.

  • Educate users on basic IT procedures and best practices.


  • Incident Management:

  • Log and track support incidents using the helpdesk ticketing system.

  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and keep users informed of progress.


  • Hardware and Software Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance on hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

  • Install, configure, and update software applications.


  • Remote Support:

  • Provide remote assistance to off-site users, resolving issues through phone or remote desktop tools.


  • Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support procedures, solutions, and configurations.


  • Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements to IT systems and processes.

  • Communicate effectively with second-line support and other technical teams.

  • Enforce a security first culture by leading by example.

    Based in our newly refurbished Fareham offices, the role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and a dedication to delivering excellent customer service.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts.

  • It would be great if you have:
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a helpdesk or service desk environment.
