Job Description: The Accounts Assistant is responsible for service charge accounting on behalf of clients. Key responsibilities and tasks include: Receipting Service Charge and Ground Rent cheque/cash/BACS payments on Qube and preparing paying slips for banking Recording of Admin Fees in relation to sales (e.g. LPE1 fees, Notice of Transfer fees etc) Applying Bank interest/charges and miscellaneous receipts from daily bank report. Bank reconciliations Setting
unsettled receipts To generally assist with all other accounts admin related activities where necessary Dealing with requests and queries from Property Managers and Management Handling customer queries by telephone and email Qualifications and Skills: Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on all levels. AAT Level 2 or 3 (ideally). A positive and polite telephone manner. Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy accounts team. Ideally some experience in the property sector. Good time management skills and the ability to work on own initiative. Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Highly competent in MS Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
