Our Department - Product Development and Analysis

The Product Development and Analysis team are food scientists passionate about food authenticity and safety, ensuring our products are high quality and meet specification, not just on paper! We support the sales team to lead product testing innovation and provide unique information and research about the products Nutraceuticals Group Europe offers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Placement year in the nutraceutical industry working within the Product Development and Analysis team to:

- Support the sales team with technical product knowledge

- Create and complete product testing projects

- Conduct product analysis to ensure products meet specification

- Understand and analyse testing data

- Develop laboratory methods

- Liaise with Quality Assurance and Business Support colleagues to ensure testing schedules are followed

- Investigate and test non-conforming products

- Communicate with third party labs, interpret and action analysis results

- Maintain laboratory health and safety standards

Enrolled in a Food science, Biochemistry, Biological sciences or other relevant degree and looking for a placement

- Ability to work well in a team and also self sufficient during independent work

- Excellent communication skills

- Attention to detail especially when checking analysis results

- Confident in computer use

- Interest in food supplement / nutraceutical industry

- Good foundation of molecular / biochemical knowledge to develop product expertise

- Willingness to learn

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Problem solving skills

- Interest in nutrition and health

- Experience using google sheets (or Microsoft Excel)

- Ability to make strategic decisions and prioritise the workload
