to be joining Druids Golf. We are looking for a product designer with exceptional technical knowledge, creative flair and attention to detail to help design apparel within both our mens' and womens' sportswear and lifestyle ranges.

Working alongside our creative team, you will support the creation of market leading products, with a strong focus on golf apparel (Polos, Midlayers, Jackets, Gilets, Trousers, Skirts etc). You will be expected to produce a diverse range of design ideas, creation of concepts, tech drawings, colour-ways, and logo/component development.

Our ideal candidate is someone who thinks outside the box and is not afraid to bring new ideas to the table.

Druids Golf is not afraid to showcase designs that are quirky, retro, modern and futuristic. You will have a passion for creativity, able to build relationships with the creative team, organised and work to tight and changeable deadlines. You'll need to be a well-rounded designer and ideally have an interest in sports fashion and lifestyle. Feel free to explore the current sportswear/fashion landscape and get a feel of the current trends.

You will get the chance to tour our facility in Edinburgh and get a look and feel of the products that we produce, as well as grabbing a few for yourself to look the part!

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the creative team in designing apparel products from concept to final production.


  • Present design/concepts in PDF format for the creative team to review.


  • Work closely with creative team on creating and developing new collections, garments, concepts and patterns from brainstorming the ideas to the final product.


  • Work on multiple projects at various stages in the process, ensuring the smooth movement of workflow through the product design process.


  • Keep abreast of current sportwear/golf trends and sports fashion in general.


  • Availability to travel to Druids warehouse to meet with Creative Lead.

    A Bachelor's Degree in Graphic/Fashion Design, or a related field, or industry equivalent experience.


  • Be highly proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator/Photoshop.


  • Strong relevant portfolio.


  • A good knowledge of sports fashion industry and developing trends.


  • A flair for quirky, strong design and the ability to make suggestions and ideas.


  • Excellent organisation & time management with attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.


  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate confidently at all levels.


  • A single figure handicap. (This is not 100% mandatory)!, Apparel Design: 2 years (preferred)
