Apprentice Mechanical Pipefitter

E Rand & Sons Ltd are involved in diesel, mechanical and electrical engineering and their customers include water companies, drainage authorities, Ministry of Defence, bus & coach companies, food and chemical industry, docks and airports. They are currently looking for an apprentice Mechanical Pipefitter to join and learn within their team.

Shadow a Rand Engineer to learn:

• Install Threaded Pipework


• Steel Fabrications


• Welded Pipework


• Working under supervision from a senior engineer whilst undertaking works that will include manufacturing of components through to installation and completion at site.


Entry requirements

GCSEs Grade 5 or above in Maths & English - Essential.

Training to be provided

• The learner will be studying the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.


• Day release to West Suffolk College.


• Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.


Things to consider

A varied role that will consist of being in our workshop and working at customer site locations. Working under supervision from a senior engineer whilst undertaking works that will include manufacturing of components through to installation and completion at site.
