Apprentice Multi Trade

As an Apprentice Multi Trade here at Novus, your role would typically be working alongside a team of trade colleagues undertaking planned Social Housing refurbishment works in customers homes across the region, the skills you would learn throughout your apprenticeship would include.

• Repairs Carry out basic repairs and planned refurbishment works - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastering, and decorating repairs to the fabric of a building.


• Tools To use and maintain hand and power tools to achieve optimum performance, appropriate to the project, ensuring to store safely.


• Resources Learning the importance of control or resources and stock.


• Health & Safety To learn the principles of health, safety and welfare and how these are applied in the workplace.


• Teamwork - The role will give the skills and abilities to not only be part of a team but to play an active role within a busy team.


• Stakeholder Management Developing and maintaining relationships with Managers, Colleagues and Customers, First stage- Application review, where we will review and score your answers to the questions asked as part of the application process.


• Second stage- Our Resourcing team will conduct a short telephone interview.


• Final stage Assessment centre being held on either Wednesday 12th or Thursday 13th June 2024 (to be confirmed) (if selected you would need to be available on the agreed date)
  
  Ideally, you will have a GCSE in Maths and English (Grades A to C/4-9), however, more importantly, you will have a passion for learning, a desire to work in a practical hands-on role, a great work ethic and a real can-do approach to everything you do. If you are already qualified, or studying towards a level 2 in Multi Trade you wouldnt be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as you already have the knowledge our Apprenticeship program is designed to provide.

• Rates of pay higher than national minimum apprenticeship - £6.60 per hour minimum


• Working hours 39 per week (Monday to Friday) (inclusive of day release)


• 22 Days holiday & Bank Holidays- with the option to buy or sell your holidays
