As an Assistant Accountant at Unily, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department in a wide variety of accounting-based activities. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to kickstart their career in finance and is passionate about learning and growing within a fast-paced and innovative environment., As an Assistant Accountant at Unily, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department in a wide variety of accounting-based activities. You will work closely with other members of the finance team to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including the accurate recording of financial transactions and delivering a fast monthly close.

As part of the wider team, you will also provide support during peak periods or contribute to special projects such as implementing new controls and technologies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in our accounting software


  • Perform data entry tasks, including journal entries, expense tracking, and reconciliations


  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and queries


  • Help in organizing financial documents and files for easy retrieval and auditing purposes


  • Financial reporting:

  • Aid in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, supporting information and associated reconciliations


  • Assist in analysing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement


  • Support other members of the team in generating reports for management and external stakeholders.


  • Compliance and regulation:

  • Learn and adhere to relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations


  • Assist in ensuring compliance with tax requirements and filing obligations


  • Participate in external audits and assist in implementing control recommendations.
