Assistant Manager, Mudeford Quay, Christchurch

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Managers to support the Managers at The Haven House Inn and Café, which is located on Mudeford Quay in Christchurch. We have a unique location overlooking the sea that is extremely popular with locals and day trippers. Hourly pay PLUS A POTENTIAL £2500 BONUS

Reporting to the GM and Deputy, the successful applicants will have responsibility for shifts and be part of the team to develop the service levels and the offer. The role is very hands on and you will mainly work in the pub, but understanding the café to support the team means that working the occasional shift in there will be important.

Experience of managing is team is essential but experience of good customer service is a must. THIS IS A FULL TIME JOB AND EXPERIENCE WITH CASHING UP, CELLAR MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISING IS A MUST,

• You must have some supervisory experience as you will be required to run shifts and direct the team


• You must be able to get to and from Mudeford Quay as you will sometimes start at 9am and will close the pub a couple of nights a weeek.


• Have you been trained in cash/ till management and you will occasionally be responsible for cashing up at the end of a shift?


• Have you experience in cellar management (changing kegs etc) as this iwould be very useful?


Experience:

• Supervising: 1 year (required)
  
  The Haven Inn is open 7 days a week from 9.00am with a strong food led day trade and we are developing the offer to broaden the appeal. Due to the location we are exceptionally busy in the summer and are getting busier through the winter.


During the summer, you will need to work at weekends and through the peak trading periods, taking holidays outside of these times.
